Here’s a little throwback to one of our sun-soaked afternoons in the heart of Big Bend National Park with my youngest explorer Becket. 
Amidst the sweeping desert landscapes, we captured this moment that just sums up the beauty of simplicity when you’re on the road. It’s the small discoveries, like Becket’s fascination with the desert rocks, that truly create the most enduring memories.
Snapped with my trusty iPhone 11 on a bright June day last year (June 4th, to be precise!), this photo reminds us that sometimes the best adventures don’t need a grand scale – just a curious mind and the freedom of the great outdoors. Our family – Krista, Amelia, Jacques, and I – have had our fair share of awe-inspiring experiences across this rugged terrain, but it’s these candid shots that really tug at our heartstrings.
As we wandered through the vastness of Big Bend, we were reminded of why we pack up our gear and head out to embrace the unknown. Every step on this journey with my family is a treasure. And isn’t that what travel is all about? Gathering moments, one pebble at a time.
